Last night, I decided to pass by a small East African restaurant called Masai Mara named after a famous national park in Kenya. It is located at 5422 Georgia Avenue in NorthWest Washington DC. This was my second time there. The first time I went by there was several weeks ago. That time I went by there just to find out its location. I did not order anything at that time but introduced myself to the owner who goes by the name Richard. He is from Tanzania and had owned a similar establishment before in Washington.
This time around I ordered one order of beef samosas. A Samosa is a fried pastry filled with either spiced ground beef or any other kind of ground meat, potatoes, cilantro, onions, peas, lentils or any other fillings. I enjoyed the samosas. I did not stay that long because I had to rush somewhere else but took several pictures and arranged for an interview with Richard sometime next week.
